This policy describes the cookies and other tracking tools used by the website www.editricedarte.com (the “Website”). It is provided under Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), Article 122 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 (“Privacy Code”) and the Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) on 10 June 2021. It supplements the Website’s Privacy Policy.

2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on the user’s device (computer, tablet, smartphone) and reads again on later visits. Similar tools, such as the browser’s local storage or pixels, work in a comparable way and are treated in this policy in the same way as cookies.
Cookies can be:
- first-party, when they are set directly by the Website;
- third-party, when they are set by external services (for example Google or Meta) embedded in the Website’s pages.
3. How we collect consent
On the first visit, the Website shows a banner that lets users:
- accept all cookies;
- reject all non-essential cookies, with a button of equal prominence;
- customise their choice by category.
Before consent, no cookies other than strictly necessary technical cookies are set. Google Analytics runs in “Consent Mode”: without consent it does not store any cookies on the device.
The choice is remembered for 12 months, unless the cookies in use change significantly. It can be changed or withdrawn at any time through the “Cookie preferences” button, always available at the bottom left of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before.

They are essential for the Website and the online shop to work: browsing, language selection, cart, purchase, and storing cookie preferences. The legal basis is Article 122(1) of the Italian Privacy Code and legitimate interest/performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

5. External services without cookies
- Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd.): the Website’s typefaces are downloaded from Google’s servers, which receive the visitor’s IP address. No cookies are set.
- Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.): the newsletter sign-up form sends the data entered to Mailchimp only when the user subscribes.
6. Transfers of data outside the European Union
Google, Meta, PayPal and Mailchimp may also process data in the United States. These transfers are based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (10 July 2023), to which these companies adhere, and/or on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the Commission.
7. Managing cookies from the browser
In addition to the banner, users can block or delete cookies in their browser settings. Blocking technical cookies may prevent the cart and checkout from working.
