{"id":2985,"date":"2021-12-16T13:01:56","date_gmt":"2021-12-16T13:01:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.editricedarte.com\/product\/riddles\/"},"modified":"2021-12-16T13:01:56","modified_gmt":"2021-12-16T13:01:56","slug":"riddles","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/www.editricedarte.com\/en\/product\/riddles\/","title":{"rendered":"Riddles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>by Carlo Sisi<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It seems to me, scrolling through the dummy of the catalog in which the sequence of <span class=\"s5\">photographs<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">appears<\/span> to <span class=\"s5\">us<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">in the<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">defining<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">and<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">transfiguring<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">black<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">and<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">white<\/span> to <span class=\"s5\">which<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">Tatge<\/span> has long accustomed <span class=\"s5\">us<\/span> , that the meaning of this Italian journey really manifests the poetic conviction that the ancient, the modern, the future coexist <span class=\"s5\">in<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">creative<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">units<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">of<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">secluded<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">involvement<\/span> and that the figurative deposit of history should be used as a legacy, as a material to be invented, perpetually new. For this reason the passages of the city and landscape, extracted as if they were expressive words from a famous page to consign them to the metaphysical enigma of estrangement, effectively summarize the poetics and technique of George Tatge: unconventional esthete of marginality, archaeologist of our recent defeats, &#8216;artisans&#8217; (as the metaphysical twentieth century liked) of an imagined and true reality at the same time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TIMELESS LANDSCAPES<br \/>\nThe journey that George Tatge undertakes to discover the Italian territory goes under the sign of an analysis that is both lyrical and merciless, curious and lucid, always surprising even when he deals with apparently known subjects and themes, bordering on the obvious. The scansion of this score is immediately legible, it is a progression &#8211; almost narrative in nature &#8211; from purity to contamination, from the predominance of nature to the coexistence of nature and artefact, from the absence to the presence of man through his signs.
